Developing the Riverstone Scheduled Lands
Landcom is helping landowners to create a new residential community in the Vineyard-Riverstone Scheduled Lands.
The Scheduled Lands area has been rezoned to allow residential housing. There are however a number of challenges that landowners face in the Scheduled Lands before they can build on their land:Orderly development of the area is unlikely to occur unless a large number of landowners work together at the same time. Landcom has been working with landowners to find a way to overcome these problems. We have developed a development model which will help landowners with the co-ordination, funding and delivery of services to their land. The model provides landowners without access to funds, an alternative way to pay for their share of infrastructure and subdivision costs. Under the model, owners have the option to cover these costs with part of their land as an alternative to an upfront payment.
This website provides information about the work we have been doing. If you are an owner of land in the Scheduled Lands zoned Low density residential, we would like to hear from you.
